Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Algoma

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Algoma). They blew past the Gibraltar Vikings 14-1 on Tuesday. The Wolves not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30, 2024.

The win was the third in a row for Algoma, bringing their record up to 3-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Gibraltar, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Algoma will square off against Crivitz at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gibraltar, they will face off against Hilbert at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.75 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
