Soccer Game Preview: Castleberry vs. Lake Dallas

The Castleberry Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Lake Dallas Falcons at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Friday just wasn't the day for Castleberry's offense. They fell just short of Springtown by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Lake Dallas waltzed into their game on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Their defense stepped up to hand the Knights a 7-0 shutout. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Eagle Mountain from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Courtney Brockington led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Lake Dallas' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three matchups. As for Castleberry, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Castleberry might still be hurting after the 5-0 loss they got from Lake Dallas in their previous matchup back in February. Can Castleberry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
