Football Game Preview: Atlantic Eagles vs. West Boca Raton Bulls + Official Tickets

The Atlantic Eagles will challenge the West Boca Raton Bulls at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

West Boca Raton will be up against a hot Atlantic team: the squad just extended their winning streak to nine. The Eagles breezed past Eau Gallie to the tune of 48-18 on Friday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Commodores are ranked 63rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Boca Raton's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Cardinal Newman on Friday. The Bulls claimed a resounding 42-0 win over Palm Beach Gardens. The victory continues a trend for the Bulls in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won three in a row.

Atlantic better keep an eye on Trey Moran. He was instrumental in West Boca Raton's win, rushing for 54 yards and two TDs on only five carries, while also throwing for 112 yards and one touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Moran a new career-high. Jayden Lockhart was another key player, rushing for 25 yards and a pair of scores.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to West Boca Raton's defense and their six sacks. Demetrius Geathers Jr. was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. West Boca Raton received some extra help from Geathers Jr., whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Atlantic's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for West Boca Raton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Things could have been worse for Atlantic, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-14 loss to West Boca Raton in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Bulls' Javian Mallory, who rushed for 179 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. Now that the Eagles know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
