Football Recap: Lawrenceburg Comes Up Short at Home Against East Central

Lawrenceburg unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by the East Central Trojans and fell 39-12. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost nine in a row.

Although Lawrenceburg took the loss, they still got scores from Isaiah Williams and Keaten McGrath.

Ryan Minges was nothing short of spectacular for East Central: he rushed for 171 yards and three TDs. Minges' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 138 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Lawrenceburg and East Central should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Tigers will take on Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (38 vs. 334). Meanwhile, East Central (ranked 13th) will meet Harrison (ranked 145th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
