Volleyball Recap: Eldorado Comes Up Short

Eldorado lost against Pinecrest Academy Cadence back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Firehawks lost 3-0 to the Cougars. The Firehawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-13.

Itsara Atencio paced Eldorado's offense, picking up six kills. Atencio got some help from Alyssa Ramos and her 17 assists.

Leading Pinecrest Academy Cadence to victory were Alessandra Chamnong and Cali Wellington. Chamnong had eight aces and four digs, while Wellington had six digs and two aces. Those eight aces gave Chamnong a new career-high.

Eldorado's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-16.

Eldorado has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Rancho on the 8th. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Chaparral on the 8th.
