Fort Dale Academy barely beat Monroe Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Fort Dale Academy Eagles blew past the Monroe Academy Volunteers 18-0 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Volunteers: they've now won three in a row.

Trip Albert made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. Albert was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Benton Taylor was incredible, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Chandler Little was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Fort Dale Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Monroe Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-2.

Fort Dale Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-2 win against Crenshaw Christian Academy on the 25th. As for Monroe Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 16-11 victory against Sparta Academy on the 25th.
