Softball Recap: Wes-Del Warriors vs. Centerville Bulldogs
Wes-Del fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Centerville on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 8-7. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.
Rylei McCord and Keylie Byrd stepped up to the plate in a big way. McCord went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one double, while Byrd got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Marley Bertram was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs and one double.
