Shelton is 9-1 against Xavier since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Gaels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. Shelton will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Shelton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Masuk, who was ranked 12th at the time (Shelton was ranked seventh). The Gaels put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win on Friday.

Meanwhile, Xavier got the win against Norwich Free Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-17.

Shelton's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Xavier, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9.

Shelton skirted past Xavier 3-2 in their previous meeting back in April. Will the Gaels repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
