Logan Trivette posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Even though Trivette couldn't lead Ashland over North Eugene, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies are 8-2 against the Highlanders going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
