Baseball Recap: Westlake Takes a Loss

Westlake lost against Rocky River on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Demons fell 5-1 to the Pirates. The Demons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Jung was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Rocky River, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westlake will face off against St. Edward at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rocky River, they will host Bay at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in the Pirates' favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while the Rockets have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
