Baseball Recap: Darrington Takes a Loss

Darrington fell victim to Granite Falls and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 10-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Loggers haven't been shut out since back in March.

This is the second loss in a row for Darrington and nudges their season record down to 2-10. As for Granite Falls, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Darrington will square off against Orcas Island at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Granite Falls, they will take on Sultan at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Turks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.69 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
