Volleyball Recap: Rossville Hornets vs. Clinton Central Bulldogs

With a playoff game on the line, Rossville rose to the challenge on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Clinton Central Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Rossville never let Clinton Central on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-20.

Rossville can attribute much of their success to Berkley Lanum, who had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Lanum has posted since back in September.

Rossville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clinton Central only served five.

Clinton Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Nuriah Harvey, who had 17 digs, and Gabby Salem, who had 12 digs and five kills.

Rossville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-11 record this season. As for Clinton Central, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-16.

Rossville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Frontier on the 19th. Clinton Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
