Flint Hill gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Wednesday. They walked away with  a   3-1  victory over the St. John's Cadets. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Cadets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  win against them.
 The  victory didn't come easy: St. John's scored at least 21 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 17-25,  25-21.
 Hunter Ross paced Flint Hill's offense, picking up 16 kills. Ross got some help from  Ava Zender and her 17 assists.  Mila Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.
St. John's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flint Hill will venture away from home to  square off against Charles J. Colgan  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for St. John's, they will head out to  face off against Patriot  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
