Baseball Game Preview: Harrison Central Huskies vs. Indian Creek Redskins

For the second straight game, Harrison Central will face off against Indian Creek. The Huskies are taking a road trip to take on the Redskins at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrison Central's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Indian Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Harrison Central's offense. They fell 5-0 to Indian Creek on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Huskies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Indian Creek's part, not much got past Sal Barcalow, who gave up just three hits to keep Harrison Central off the board. Barcalow has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ty Householder was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run.

The win (which was Indian Creek's third in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Harrison Central, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-3.
