Basketball Recap: Liberty Minutemen vs. Staunton River Golden Eagles
Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 57-41 fall against the Staunton River Golden Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Minutemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-33 last Wednesday.
Despite the defeat, Liberty had strong showings from Shania Brown, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds, and Cierra St. John, who posted 14 points and seven boards. Brown is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last six games she's played.
