Baseball Recap: Bibb County Comes Up Short

Bibb County blew Tuscaloosa Academy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Tuscaloosa Academy got their revenge. The Choctaws fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-0. The Choctaws were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Bibb County's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-17 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bibb County will welcome Chilton County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Choctaws are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Tuscaloosa Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Leeds at 6:00 p.m. The Greenwave's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
