Baseball Preview: Bristol Warriors vs. George School Cougars
The Bristol Warriors will face off against the George School Cougars at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Bristol's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Calvary Christian Academy with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Bristol let Brady Slate and Cole Guy run wild. Slate scored three runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Guy scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs Slate has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Atkinson, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Bristol hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Calvary Christian Academy struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask George School). They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over Abington Friends on Friday.
Bristol now has a winning record of 3-2. As for George School, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
