Biggs gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 52-0 victory over the Weed Cougars. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 16-14 win the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Skyler Long went supernova, rushing for 125 yards and four scores on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 72 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (141.7).

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Biggs was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 368 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 210 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Biggs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Omar Ibarra and Giovanni Wylie.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Biggs will welcome Redding Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Weed, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Maxwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
