Biggs gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They breezed past the Weed Cougars to the tune of 52-0. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 16-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Skyler Long had a dynamite game, rushing for 125 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 72 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (141.7).

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Biggs was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 368 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 210 rushing yards in six consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Biggs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Omar Ibarra and Giovanni Wylie.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Biggs will take on Redding Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Weed, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Maxwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
