Baseball Game Preview: Lake Quinault Elks vs. Mary M. Knight Owls

Lake Quinault is 6-1 against Mary M. Knight since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Elks will challenge the Owls at 4:00 p.m. Lake Quinault has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Lake Quinault's offense. They came up short against Darrington on Saturday, falling 18-0. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Elks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Mary M. Knight came up short against Wishkah Valley on Tuesday and fell 12-9. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lake Quinault fell to 5-1. As for Mary M. Knight, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Lake Quinault took their victory against Mary M. Knight in their previous meeting last Tuesday by a conclusive 22-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Elks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
