Soccer Recap: Live Oak Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oroville last Tuesday, Live Oak came back down to earth. The Live Oak Lions fell just short of the Corning Cardinals by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.

Live Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Corning, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Live Oak nor Corning have any future games scheduled.
