Volleyball Recap: Abby Herrera Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Taft

Alexander posted their closest victory since August 24, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Taft Raiders.

Alexander got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Abby Herrera out in front who had ten digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Herrera a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Garcia, who had 14 digs and three assists.

Alexander's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Taft, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 4-1.

Alexander has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against O'Connor on the 16th. As for Taft, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Smithson Valley on the 16th.
