Volleyball Recap: Carencro Takes a Loss

Carencro suffered their biggest defeat since September 18th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Lafayette Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-14, 25-13.

Leading Lafayette to victory were Avery Larpenteur and Brae'Ona Smith. Larpenteur had 18 assists and three digs, while Smith had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most assists Larpenteur has posted over her last eight matchups.

Carencro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Lafayette, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-3.

Coming up, Carencro will challenge New Iberia at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette, they will square off against Westminster Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
