Softball Game Preview: Johnson County Longhorns vs. Happy Valley Warriors

Johnson County is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Happy Valley an eight-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Johnson County Longhorns will be playing at home against the Happy Valley Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Johnson County lost 9-1 to Rye Cove on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Happy Valley came up short against Avery County on Monday, falling 13-1. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly 12 runs.

Johnson County's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Happy Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Everything went Johnson County's way against Happy Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Johnson County made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Longhorns repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
