Softball Recap: Morrison Mustangs vs. East Dubuque Warriors
Morrison won the last time they faced East Dubuque and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Warriors 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Ava Duncan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, Morrison let Bella Scachette and Allie Anderson run wild. Scachette went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Anderson went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That triple was Scachette's first of the season.
