Baseball Game Preview: Central Wisconsin Christian Crusaders vs. Horicon Marshmen

The Central Wisconsin Christian Crusaders will head out on the road to challenge the Horicon Marshmen at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Campbellsport hit Central Wisconsin Christian with a four-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Crusaders fell 7-2 to the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Horicon waltzed into their game two weeks ago with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Big Red with a sharp 21-1 victory. The matchup marked the Marshmen's most dominant win of the season so far.

Horicon got a great performance from Brady Anderson as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Anderson is becoming a predictor of the Marshmen's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Quinten Brown was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That run marked the first that he has scored this season. Another player making a difference was Ethan Strieff, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Horicon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .590. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Central Wisconsin Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Horicon, their record now sits at 5-2.
