Basketball Recap: Round Rock Westwood Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Round Rock Westwood couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell to the Johnson Jaguars 52-47.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daryl Banks, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points and seven boards. What's more, Banks posted two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Marc Anthony was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Round Rock Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 31-5. As for Johnson, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-9 record this season.

Round Rock Westwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Johnson, they will welcome Steele at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Steele's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 32 contests.
