Baseball Game Preview: Easton Area Rovers vs. Bethlehem Catholic Hawks

The Easton Area Rovers will face off against the Bethlehem Catholic Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Easton Area came up short against Liberty on Tuesday, falling 14-4.

Chase Shollenberger was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Bethlehem Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 10-1 to Freedom. Hawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Patriots since on Tuesday.

Petros Tsihlis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases. Zach McCoy also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

Easton Area's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Bethlehem Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Easton Area skirted past Bethlehem Catholic 11-9 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Will the Rovers repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
