Football Game Recap: DeKalb vs. Mound City/Craig

Mound City/Craig were gifted an easy win on Friday as DeKalb wound up forfeiting 6-52. Fans of Mound City/Craig have seen this all before: every one of Mound City/Craig's games this year has ended as a stomp.

The match started off well for Mound City/Craig, whose offense put up 30 first-half points. DeKalb countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 30-6 going into the half. Mound City/Craig put the game away in the third quarter with 22 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.

Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Mound City/Craig take on Rock Port at 7:00 PM. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown. As for DeKalb, they will face off against Stewartsville/Osborn. Stewartsville/Osborn are limping into the matchup on a seven-game losing streak.
