Softball Recap: St. Edmund Takes a Loss

St. Edmund fell victim to Opelousas Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 7-0. The loss continues a trend for the Fighting Blue Jays in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.

St. Edmund's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Opelousas Catholic, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-9.

Coming up, St. Edmund will challenge Jennings at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Fighting Blue Jays' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Opelousas Catholic, they will square off against St. Thomas More at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
