Basketball Recap: Park Rapids Panthers vs. East Grand Forks Green Wave

There's no place like home for the Park Rapids Panthers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They snuck past East Grand Forks with a 79-73 victory on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Park Rapids got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Carroll out in front who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carroll has scored all season. Noah Larson was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with six assists and three steals.

Park Rapids has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for East Grand Forks, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Park Rapids will take on the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Crookston is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for East Grand Forks, they will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Warroad's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten contests.
