Volleyball Recap: Pratt Greenbacks vs. Concordia Panthers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Pratt can now relate to. They fell just short of the Concordia Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greenbacks of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2015.
Pratt started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-18, 25-15.
Ryann Eastes paced Pratt's offense, picking up 13 kills. Eastes got some help from
Allison Deda and her 19 assists.
Addison Sowers controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Pratt moved to 24-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Concordia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-14.
Pratt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Concordia, they are on the road again on Friday to play Clearwater at 8:30 a.m. Clearwater will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Concordia surely won't give up without a fight.
