Basketball Game Preview: Linn Bulldogs vs. Lakeside Knights

The Linn Bulldogs will face off against the Lakeside Knights on Monday.

On Saturday, Linn lost to Pawnee City on the road by a 53-39 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 214th in Kansas, while the Indians are ranked 78th in Nebraska).

Meanwhile, Lakeside hadn't done well against Osborne recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Lakeside simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Osborne 74-19. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 22 points or more this season.

Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Linn, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Linn skirted past Lakeside 47-45 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Lakeside's Reece Remus, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.
