Soccer Game Preview: Varina vs. Patrick Henry

Varina is 0-9 against Patrick Henry since March of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Varina will be strutting in after a win while Patrick Henry will be coming in after a loss.

Varina is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Highland Springs get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Friday. The game was the first time Varina have beaten Highland Springs on their pitch since May 16, 2022.

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry fell victim to Hanover and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Hawks. Patrick Henry haven't had much luck with Hanover recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Varina's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5-1. As for Patrick Henry, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1.

Varina suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Patrick Henry in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Blue Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
