Basketball Recap: Eleanor Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Eleanor Roosevelt lost against Laurel back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders took a 68-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Laurel Spartans. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amadou Kaloga was his usual excellent self, going 6-for-13 to rack up 21 points for Laurel. Kaloga has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gilbert Osafo, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds.

Eleanor Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Laurel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Eleanor Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-73 defeat against Wise on the 21st. As for Laurel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 76-50 victory against River Hill on the 21st.
