Volleyball Game Preview: Perrysburg Yellow Jackets vs. Swanton Bulldogs

The Perrysburg Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Swanton Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Perrysburg is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Last Wednesday, Perrysburg made easy work of Northview and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Swanton hadn't done well against Anthony Wayne recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Thursday. The Bulldogs blew past the Generals 3-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bulldogs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-18, 26-24.

Perrysburg's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. As for Swanton, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Everything went Perrysburg's way against Swanton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Perrysburg made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellow Jackets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
