Soccer Game Preview: Columbian vs. Ontario

Columbian is 0-7 against Ontario since September of 2015 but things could change on Wednesday. The Tornadoes will head out to take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Columbian's offense. They lost 7-0 to Woodmore on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Columbian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 438th, while Woodmore are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, Ontario came up short against Dublin Coffman on Saturday and fell 3-1.

The Warriors' goal came courtesy of Hattie Yugovich, who's now up to 31 this season.

Ontario's loss dropped their record down to 12-4-1. As for Columbian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Columbian might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Ontario when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can the Tornadoes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
