Soccer Recap: Shasta Comes Up Short

Shasta lost against Pleasant Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Shasta Wolves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasant Valley Vikings. While losing is never fun, Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 559th, while the Vikings are ranked 112th).

Shasta is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6-1. As for Pleasant Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-1-4 record this season.

Shasta wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Foothill on the 5th. As for Pleasant Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Enterprise on the 5th.
