Soccer Recap: Woodward Beats Clinton for Their Third Straight Win

Woodward had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Clinton Red Tornadoes. For Woodward, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win Clinton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Woodward's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Clinton, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6.

Woodward does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clinton, they will welcome Heritage Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Heritage Hall will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Clinton surely won't give up without a fight.
