Basketball Game Preview: South Garland Titans vs. Garland Owls

South Garland is 2-8 against Garland since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The South Garland Titans will challenge the Garland Owls at 3:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, South Garland lost to Rowlett at home by a 74-60 margin. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 977th, while the Eagles are ranked 461st).

Meanwhile, Garland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against Sachse, falling 67-45.

This is the second loss in a row for South Garland and nudges their season record down to 4-19. As for Garland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

South Garland suffered a grim 65-41 defeat to Garland in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can South Garland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
