Basketball Game Preview: Dresden Lions vs. Westview Chargers

Dresden is 0-3 against Westview since December of 2016 but things could change on Thursday. The Dresden Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Westview Chargers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dresden took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against South Fulton by the margin of a single free throw, 43-42.

Meanwhile, Westview hadn't done well against Ripley recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Westview strolled past Ripley with points to spare, taking the game 46-32.

Dresden is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-13 record this season. As for Westview, they pushed their record up to 15-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Dresden was taken down by Westview 73-43 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Westview's Jashun Ward, who went 9-for-17 en route to 26 points along with five assists and three steals.
