There's no place like home for JSerra Catholic, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They skirted past the Orange Lutheran Lancers 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 last Tuesday.

JSerra Catholic took Orange Lutheran into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-18, 25-21, 19-25, 15-11.

Leading JSerra Catholic to victory were Madison Goodrich and Kendall Stark. Goodrich had 22 digs and four assists, while Stark had five digs and three aces. That's the most digs Stark has posted since back in September. Rory Mckelvie also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Despite the defeat, Orange Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Grace Geronsin had 14 digs and two aces. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Geronsin.

JSerra Catholic's record is now 17-13. As for Orange Lutheran, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 24-9.

JSerra Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Mater Dei on the 14th. As for Orange Lutheran, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Santa Margarita on the 14th.
