Recap: Chincoteague Ponies vs. Holly Grove Christian
The Chincoteague Ponies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 84-44 victory over Holly Grove Christian. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Chincoteague has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chincoteague to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Harper, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Harper has scored at least 25% of Chincoteague's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Harper, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten assists.
Chincoteague's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24.67 points. As for Holly Grove Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chincoteague is on the road again on Monday and play against Wicomico at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th. Holly Grove Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Delmarva Christian at 5:30 p.m. on December 14th.
