Volleyball Recap: Khiry Reese and Alyvia Boren Secure Win for Rosewood + How To Watch

Rosewood had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Neuse Charter Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rosewood's got stronger as the match went on, holding Neuse Charter to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-15, 25-12.

Rosewood was led to victory by Alyvia Boren and Khiry Reese. Boren had eight digs and two aces, while Reese had nine digs and five aces. Those eight digs gave Boren a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Rosewood was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Neuse Charter only served six aces.

Despite the defeat, Neuse Charter saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sloane Smith had 14 digs.

Rosewood's record now sits at 3-0. As for Neuse Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Rosewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against C.B. Aycock on the 18th. Neuse Charter has also already played their next match (against Roxboro Community), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
