Basketball Recap: D'Arbonne Woods Takes a Loss

D'Arbonne Woods and Rosepine squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but D'Arbonne Woods had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 49-21 loss at the hands of the Rosepine Eagles. While losing is never fun, D'Arbonne Woods can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Rosepine is ranked 59th).

D'Arbonne Woods has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-17 record this season. Rosepine has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-10 record this season.

D'Arbonne Woods does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rosepine, they will face off against Northlake Christian on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Northlake Christian comes in on four and Rosepine on three.
