Soccer Game Preview: Amherst County vs. Liberty

The Amherst County Lancers will venture away from home to face off against the Liberty Minuteman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Amherst County has given up an average of 2.7 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Amherst County came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Glass, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Amherst County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Glass are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Liberty didn't have quite enough to beat Heritage on Friday and fell 3-2.

Amherst County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Liberty, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
