Football Game Preview: Bellevue Redmen vs. Vermilion Sailors

The Bellevue Redmen will face off against the Vermilion Sailors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vermilion took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bellevue, who comes in off a win.

Vermilion will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Bellevue extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Redmen came out on top against Port Clinton by a score of 12-3.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Vermilion after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Edison who ended up claiming the real prize. The Sailors fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 27-24. The Sailors haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Bellevue's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Vermilion, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Bellevue ended up a good deal behind Vermilion in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, losing 26-12. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Sailors' Evan Kuhns, who rushed for 82 yards and three TDs.
