Basketball Recap: First Baptist Christian Beats Humble Christian for Their Fifth Straight Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask First Baptist Christian). They blew past the Humble Christian Cougars 87-61 on Saturday. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 26 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Micah Shrum, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last four times he's played.

Humble Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Noah Vickers, who posted 21 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Starlard, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points and three steals.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Humble Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
