Austin Prep put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Deerfield Academy Big Green. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Cougars have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Austin Prep pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average this season. As for Deerfield Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austin Prep will welcome Rivers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Deerfield Academy, they will square off against Mount St. Charles Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
