Basketball Game Preview: Milton-Union Bulldogs vs. Versailles Tigers

Milton-Union hasn't had much luck against Versailles recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Milton-Union Bulldogs will take on the Versailles Tigers in a tournament on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Milton-Union is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest victory since December 17, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-47 win over Arcanum.

Titus Copp had an outrageously good game as he went 10-for-16 on his way to 20 points along with five assists and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Hunter Fraley, who posted seven points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Versailles humbled East Clinton with a 75-26 victory. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Versailles is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. Milton-Union's victory bumped their record up to 6-17.

Milton-Union couldn't quite finish off Versailles in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 46-44. Can Milton-Union avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
